Jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 Untethered for iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G, and iPad UPDATE
Do you like this story?
The jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4, iPod touch, and iPad was scheduled to be released by Christmas. Unfortunately that did not happen due to someone leaking the SHAtter Jailbreak exploit.
Users can still jailbreak iPhone 4 (4.2.1), jailbreak iPod touch (4.2.1), and jailbreak iPad (4.2.1) by following the instructions in the jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 guide. Unfortunately the jailbreak will be tethered, which means that users will need to jailbreak their hardware each time they reboot it. Users of the iPhone 3G or older iPod touch are fortunate because they get an untethered jailbreak.
The iOS 4.2.1 untethered jailbreak will be out soon, as it's being tested by beta testers right now. Once it's released I'll be sure to make a post on Super Geeky News. Stay tuned!
